Under the leadership of the late Dr. John Low
Baldwin, the Parish Choir of St. John on the Mountain was brought to the
professional level at which it has sung for thirty years. This talented
group of volunteers provides musical leadership for all services and
concerts throughout the liturgical year.

Music Director
Andrew Paul Moore, D.M.A.
-
Dr. Moore was born on Staten Island, NY. He received the Bachelor of Music
degree from the Curtis Institute of Music in 1987, Master of Music degree from
the Juilliard School in 1989, and the Doctor of Musical Arts degree, also from
Juilliard, in 1993.

He was the recipient of the Valentine, Rudkins, and Vernon de Tar scholarships
for organ, and studied organ with John Weaver, improvisation with Gerre Hancock,
and harpsichord with Lionel Party.

Dr. Moore was Organist and Choirmaster of Grace Episcopal School in Plainfield,
NJ from 1990 to 2000. He founded the Plainfield Community Girlchoir and is the
head of the Music Department at the Pingry School. He has been a recitalist for
the American Guild of Organists and has played recitals throughout the United
States, Germany, and Great Britain. He is a member of the A.A.M., A.C.D.A.,
A.G.O., R.C.O., and the R.S.C.M.

Chapel Organ
- The organ in the chapel is a nine stop
instrument Op. 47 designed by C. B. Fisk.

C. B.Fisk began building mechanical action organs in Gloucester in
1960, the first American builder to devote his entire production to the long
lasting and sensitive action. After his death is 1983, the company has
continued the tradition of innovative approaches to building inspiring organs
for residences, churches, and institutions of higher learning in the United
States as well as in Europe and Asia.

Church Organ
-
The organ in the church is a three-manual 50
stop instrument built by Petty Madden of Hopewell, NJ. It was designed
by John Baldwin in the French Style.
